The Assessor is a local government official who
estimates the value of real property within a
city, town or village's boundaries. This value
is converted into an assessment representing a
uniform percent of full market value which is
only one component in the computation of real
property tax bills. In addition the Assessor's
Office prepares, files and maintains the Town of
Red Hook, Village of Red Hook and Village of
Tivoli property record cards. The office is
responsible for maintaining official owners
names and addresses, photographs and other
inventory information. |
