Workshop Meeting
June 13, 2005
A workshop of the Red Hook Town Board was held Tuesday June 13, 2005 at
7:30 p.m. with the following in attendance:
Supervisor - Marirose Blum Bump
Councilman - James Ross
Councilwoman - Sue Crane
Councilwoman - Jean Bordewich
Councilman - Harold Ramsey
Town Clerk - Margaret E. Doty
Also present: Deputy Supervisor William O'Neill and Town Attorney Albert
Trezza
Supervisor Blum Bump announced that the Tivoli Day Parade would be held June
18, 2005 at 6:00 p.m.
On the appointment of Inter-municipal Planning Board all Town Board members
agreed on the following names: Bill O'Neill - Chairman, Karen Schneller-MacDonald,
Charles Laing - Planning, Timothy Ross - Zoning and Brenda Cagle - CAC.
Supervisor Blum Bump said after the additions are made to the Ethics code we
should than set the public hearing.
Deputy Supervisor O'Neill gave a report on the Implementation of the Working
Group.
On Wednesday June 22, 2005 Ted Fink from Greenplan, Inc. will give a 2 hour
talk on SEQR. Invitations have been sent to local municipal leaders to attend.
July 19, 2005 Karen Schneller-MacDonald will give a one hour presentation on
the subject of wetlands.
On the map we are working on the Agricultural Resource Map as there are some
corrections. The Slope and Soil Map has to be enlarged to the same size as the
other maps.
The Hannaford Road through Hardscrabble Commons was discussed road dimensions
were a big topic as they would like to see then from 42 ft. wide down to 36
ft.
On the Anderson development it was discussed that the road be 20 ft wide and
no parking on the street. This will be discussed further with Highway
Superintendent and the Red Hook Fire Co.
Supervisor Blum Bump said everyone has a copy of the Planning Board fees
please study them so a decision can be made on this.
Victor Cornelius, Endeavor Inc. will apply for the Acquisition and Adoptive
reuse of St. Margaret's Home. Supervisor Blum Bump will work with Mr.
Cornelius applying for the $350,000 grant.
Councilwoman Bordewich asked about the $25,000 grant that had been applied for
the trails.
Mr. Cornelius suggested they wait to receive a call from Senator Saland's
office which could be this week.
Attorney Trezza reported that he was upset when he read the letter from Brenda
Parks, Director of Government and Public Affairs. He said he would be writing
to the Public Service Commission to tell them Time Warner had not been acting
in good faith concerning the renewal of the Franchise contract.
At 8:30 p.m. Supervisor Blum Bump closed the meeting to go into Executive
Session for the Central Hudson property.
