Red Hook Climate Action Plan: Public Comment Period

    CAP Public Comment Flyer

The Conservation Advisory Council (CAC) has issued this draft Red Hook Climate Action Plan (CAP) for public comment period which will end at midnight on Tuesday, December 20, 2011. We welcome any and all comments from the public on this version of the CAP, and specific suggestions are strongly encouraged. Comments may be anonymous. At the conclusion of the public comment period, the CAC and the Town Energy Consultant will review all comments and incorporate them into the CAP as appropriate. Once comments have been incorporated, the CAP will be finalized and presented to the Town Board for consideration. This should take place in January 2012.

PLEASE NOTE: During the public meetings, there were many suggestions to include quantifications of cost, emissions avoided, payback periods, etc. We are currently in the process of developing these estimates, and they will be included in the final version of the CAP.

To submit comments, you may use the following options:

    1. Email comments to the Town Energy Consultant, Anne Marie Hirschberger, at energy@redhook.org. Comments may be in a format most convenient for you, i.e. in the body of the email, attached as a Word document, etc.

    2. Drop written comments off to your Town or Village Clerk. At the end of the public comment period, they will be picked by either the CAC or Town Energy Consultant.

    3. Mail written comments to your Town or Village Clerk. Note that comments must be received by Tuesday, December 20, 2011, so be sure to allow enough time in the mail for them to be received by this date.

Hard copies of the CAP are available at the Town and Village Clerks’ offices. If anyone has any questions, please contact Anne Marie Hirschberger at energy@redhook.org or 914-422-4126.
